Our Story

It All Started With a Walk…

Nothing like the movies. No fireworks. No grand entrance. No dramatic slow-motion moment.

Just an ordinary day, a walk to Hatfield Plaza with Kgothatso and Kenosi. Along the way, Lesego approached us and started a conversation - a simple little interaction that, unbeknownst to us, was about to change everything.

There was something about the conversation that felt so familiar. Everything was easy and effortless. We chatted and laughed as though we had known each other for much longer than we actually had. By the time we reached the mall, it felt like we had somehow skipped the awkward “getting to know you” part.

On our walk back, Lesego asked for my number. We laughed about how we had been in sync the entire time and we exchanged phones and saved each other’s numbers in exactly the same way: “Kgatlhiso Sync” and “Lesego Sync”.

Maybe the stars were already aligning.

Then came another little discovery, this entire time , Lesego had been playing soccer at the soccer centre right in front of my res and once I knew he was there, I’d watch him play from my window, and after his games, he’d call me for an ice cream date at McDonald’s. He’d ditch his friends, and what was supposed to be a quick ice cream date would turn into endless chit-chat about everything and nothing.

Somewhere between the soccer games, ice cream dates and conversations that never seemed to end, a friendship quietly became something more.

What followed was deeper conversations, shared dreams, endless laughter and a love that felt both exciting and safe, a love that slowly became home.

And now, seven years later, we’re still in sync.

What began with an ordinary walk has brought us all the way here — to choosing each other, choosing forever, and celebrating a love that grew with us, one day at a time.

No fireworks. No grand movie moment.

Just an ordinary day, two people who clicked, and a little bit of magic that somehow brought us here, seven years later.

Seven years, countless memories, and somehow… still in sync. 🤍
